Where to start the blog? I suppose from the end of my last blog in which I stated that the pension people hadn't sent me my pension book or even bothered to contact me. I finally got round to ringing them and asked why they hadn't been in touch as, from the 7th of April this year, I turned 65 years of age. "Oh! We're awfully sorry" they said, "It's an oversight on our part and yes, of course you should be receiving a pension blah blah etc etc!" To cut a long story short, I am now officially a pensioner and am now the proud owner of a senior citizens rail card and a free bus pass! I have to say I won't be using them as I would much rather have a free drink, sex, drugs and holiday pass ! I probably wouldn't use that either but at least I feel it should have been offered! Stingy lot. Ah well; we can but dream.
Before I finish this somewhat short blog, I would like to say just how much I appreciate everyone's kind words and emails to say how much they enjoyed the birthday bash. It's always our fans and friends that make such an event go so well and I can assure you all that you that were there on the night really did us proud. Thank You and I look forward to seeing you all soon when I'm back out gigging in a couple of weeks time.
God Bless you all. Mick.
